Uterine structural abnormalities...

Writer's picture: Nafiye YılmazNafiye Yılmaz

Uterine structural abnormalities can be congenital, such as arcuate uterus, uterine septum (a curtain-like structure in the uterus), bicornuate uterus (double-headed uterus), or T-shaped uterus. They can also develop later due to conditions like fibroids, polyps, adhesions resulting from infections or surgeries. These structural issues in the uterus can lead to fertility problems, miscarriages, or preterm birth in women. In some cases, they may be incidentally discovered without causing any apparent issues in certain patients.

3D (three-dimensional) ultrasound, HSG (hysterosalpingography - contrast uterine imaging), and hysteroscopy (surgical procedure with a camera system in the uterus) are helpful in diagnosing conditions. Hysteroscopy provides both diagnostic and simultaneous treatment options. 📌

Thank you... There is always hope.
